04Modern — RuneScape, Rebuilt for a New Generation Step back into the world of 2004 RuneScape with 04Modern, a private server that preserves the classic Revision 274 experience while rebuilding it from the ground up in Unity. 04Modern combines the gameplay, rules, mechanics, and iconic world of early RuneScape with a modern HD presentation and quality-of-life features designed for today's players. The goal is simple: keep the heart of the 2004 RuneScape experience intact while making it look, feel, and play better than ever. Explore a world featuring 76 quests, ranging from timeless classics such as Cook's Assistant, Dragon Slayer, Underground Pass, and Legends' Quest to later adventures including One Small Favour, Animal Magnetism, Ghosts Ahoy, Recruitment Drive, and The Slug Menace. The server also introduces original content, including Witches' Potion II and Spirits of the Elid II, expanding the world while maintaining the spirit of the original game. For combat-focused players, there is plenty to discover. Slayer features five masters — Turael, Mazchna, Vannaka, Chaeldar, and Duradel — with multiple task choices and unique high-level challenges. Brave the Wilderness Slayer Cave, take on dangerous monsters such as dragons, demons, nechryael, and abyssal demons, or work your way toward the mysterious Seraphs, powerful creatures requiring 80 Slayer. The Wilderness provides a dangerous PvP experience where players can fight opponents within their combat-level range. Skull mechanics, item protection, teleport restrictions, and combat rules preserve the risk and excitement that made the Wilderness legendary. Beyond Slayer and PvP, adventurers can challenge some of RuneScape's most iconic encounters. Battle through the Fight Cave and face TzTok-Jad for the legendary fire cape, explore the God Wars Dungeon and its four warring armies, conquer Barrows, venture through the Ancient Cavern and Brimhaven Dungeon, or enter the Abyss to access multiple Runecrafting altars. Character progression is highly customizable. Players can choose between normal accounts and several Ironman modes, including Ironman, Hardcore Ironman, Ultimate Ironman, Group Ironman, and Hardcore Group Ironman.
